Re: In and Up

Hello Alain! Sorry for the huge delay. In and up is like a "call to action": seeing Romana using it and her own stance when saying it renders its meaning clear and also removes the 'literal' translation. She would often complain about how little people would understand her. Yes, you do dra...

Re: What are the differences between teaching "Classical Pilates" versus the "Original Method"?

Hello Joao, I am so sorry for the delay. Family loss. Horrible year. Slowly returning to life and normalcy (whatever that is) Now I have apprentices!!! Something I avoided for such a long time but because I am leaving my studio -my wonderful colleague Mariska Barnard is taking over- I had to produce...

Re: What do you think about archival exercises?

Hello Paco, I am not thrilled about the question -I don't want to star a war- but I guess the person who made that pic already posted it online. I think she actually contacted me a while ago about teaching her online but maybe is not the same person since she said she also 'hated' social media. Ther...

New Page On the Book Companion Site: Everyday Workouts

Hello all,
I just added another section: "Everyday workouts" to the book site. The first workout is a full mat. 20 minutes without rushing. Mistakes an all. No editing.

Greetings,
Javier

Re: No equipment Pilates standing work

Hello Alain, Sorry for the previous post, it was a little 'catty'. Just a few days ago I was teaching those exercises -I always use some of the standing Pilates exercises before the group Mats and I always finish with the more advanced ones- and someone who joined the group was upset that I was doin...

Re: No equipment Pilates standing work

Hello Alain, There are many series standing. With and without equipment. Furthermore, every workout should finish standing. Whether you are doing the 'contraction' series, the punches, the jumps, the balances, the Arm Springs (referring to the equipment, not just arm exercises) series standing, or t...

Re: Practice over time

Hello Alain, There are a few questions, so I will go in stages. ----- Joseph did go through an evolution. His US evolution (he was over 40 when he travelled to the US) was more in the conceptual and fulfilling part of the method, what was to be achieved. More than keep adding/changing/deleting thing...

Re: Pies, articulacion y estabilidad

Polo Sentado.
